CHALLENGES
The hall was constructed as a steel structure with a span of 42 metres and a built area of approximately 2,800 m². The roof trusses and columns were designed as a triangular cross-section spatial support structure made of round and square steel tubes.
ADVANTAGES
A particular challenge was the calculation of atypical spatial junctions where round and square tube bars meet. This required precise geometric elaboration and high accuracy in the detailed design.
Software requirements:
Production of workshop drawings of the trusses with round tubes directly connected to other round elements. The tube ends also had to be cut and fitted to curved surfaces with millimetre accuracy.
