SCHULLER&Company Connects Platforms: Direct Integration of AVEVA E3D into bocad
First presented at AVEVA Day in Malaysia: new bocad detailing software feature enables bidirectional integration with AVEVA E3D

SCHULLER&Company, digitalisation partner for industrial plants and the construction industry, is enabling direct integration between two leading engineering platforms with the new bocad feature: bocad for detailing all types of trades in steel, metal, timber, glass, and hybrid construction, and AVEVA E3D as part of the AVEVA Unified Engineering environment. This integration eliminates conversion steps and simplifies collaboration between disciplines.
The new bocad feature was presented for the first time by Helmut Schuller, CEO and Founder of SCHULLER&Company, at AVEVA Day in Malaysia on 7 August 2025 to an international expert audience:

As an AVEVA technology partner and the world’s largest reseller and solution provider of the AVEVA Unified Engineering Suite, SCHULLER&Company knows the requirements of EPCs, designers, and fabricators first-hand. The goal is end-to-end digital processes across disciplines, from planning to fabrication through to operation and decommissioning of a plant or structure.
The latest bocad version enables direct integration with AVEVA E3D, making neither IFC nor other neutral file formats or external applications necessary. Structural models can be loaded directly from bocad into AVEVA E3D as native elements with complete geometry, profiles, specifications, attributes, and metadata.
This direct connection eliminates manual exports and reduces model preparation time from hours to minutes, as saving and loading (Save Work / Get Work) of models is instantly possible. Using this function, reference models can be used for bidirectional exchange, enabling the visualisation of AVEVA E3D 3D models in bocad and carrying out multidisciplinary clash checks with model data in bocad. The workflow also includes commenting functions to facilitate feedback between trades.
