With FARO INSIGHT as our booth neighbor and technology partner, BATIMAT offered the perfect opportunity for a spontaneous practical test. Within just a few minutes, our booth was captured using a 3D laser scanner. We then imported the resulting point cloud directly into bocad SmartPointCloud and used it as the basis for design.

This approach offers a significant advantage, particularly for renovation, extension and existing-building projects: designers can work based on the actual conditions on site rather than relying on assumptions or outdated plans.

What makes this especially interesting is the continuous workflow: the point cloud provides a precise representation of the existing conditions for the bocad model. From there, the process continues through detailed design and on to the data required for fabrication and construction.

Avec FARO INSIGHT, notre voisin de stand et partenaire technologique, BATIMAT nous a offert l’occasion idéale de réaliser un test pratique spontané. En quelques minutes seulement, notre stand a été relevé à l’aide d’un scanner laser 3D. Le nuage de points ainsi généré a ensuite pu être directement importé dans bocad SmartPointCloud et utilisé comme base pour la conception.

Cette approche offre un avantage décisif, notamment pour les projets de rénovation, d’extension et les projets sur existant : les concepteurs travaillent à partir des conditions réelles relevées sur site, plutôt que sur la base d’hypothèses ou de plans obsolètes.

Le processus continu est particulièrement intéressant : le nuage de points fournit une base précise pour le modèle bocad. Celui-ci sert ensuite de point de départ pour la suite de la planification, jusqu’à la génération des données nécessaires à la fabrication et au montage.

Bei SCHULLER&Company arbeiten Support und Entwicklung Hand in Hand – und nah an den Anforderungen unserer Kunden.

Bei einem Kunden aus dem Holzbau entstand während eines laufenden Projekts eine neue Anforderung an die automatisierte Fertigung. Die vorhandene Schnittstelle deckte diese noch nicht ab.

Kurze Wege zwischen Support und Entwicklung machten den Unterschied: Innerhalb weniger Stunden wurde die Schnittstelle erweitert und die Produktion konnte fortgesetzt werden.

Konkrete Anforderungen aus Kundenprojekten fließen direkt in die Weiterentwicklung von bocad ein. So entstehen Lösungen, die sich in der Praxis bewähren und allen Anwendern zugutekommen.

Ende Oktober erscheint bocad 2027. Viele der Neuerungen basieren auf Erfahrungen und Anforderungen aus der täglichen Projektpraxis.

Eine volle Stadthalle Bielefeld und viele zukunftsweisende Gespräche: Nach unserem Vortrag zur SC Collaboration Suite kamen zahlreiche Teilnehmer auf uns zu, um weiterzudiskutieren – über das, was wir gezeigt haben, über die Möglichkeiten mit bocad und darüber, was sie davon für ihre eigenen Prozesse nutzen können.

Besonders freut uns die positive Resonanz darauf, wie sich bocad unter SCHULLER&Company weiterentwickelt und welche neuen Möglichkeiten die SC Collaboration Suite eröffnet. Dieses Feedback zeigt uns, dass dieser Weg wahrgenommen wird und neue Impulse für die Praxis setzt.

Viele Gespräche, spannende Fragen, neue Ideen und konkrete Überlegungen haben den Tag geprägt.
Eine Frage, die dabei immer wieder gefallen ist: „Arbeitest du mit bocad oder Tekla?“

Und schon morgen geht es weiter: Beim 𝟰𝟮. 𝗗𝗲𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗵𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗴 (Deutscher Stahlbau-Verband DSTV e.V) zeigt Helmut Schuller am 17.09., wie Informationen entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette vernetzt werden und der Status jedes Bauteils im Projektprozess nachvollziehbar bleibt.

What a milestone! At Malaysia BIM Day 2026, Vincent had the honor of presenting 30 years of bocad in Malaysia – three decades of remarkable projects, from Kuala Lumpur Sentral and Menara Merdeka to bridges, stadiums, industrial plants and offshore structures. And the journey continues: BIM Beyond Design, connecting design, detailing, fabrication and construction.

The solution was developed together with a project group of three industrial companies. On behalf of SCHULLER&Company, Wolfgang Lindfeld worked closely with the project group, bringing real-world requirements and practical experience into the development.

Entwickelt wurde die Lösung gemeinsam mit einer Projektgruppe aus drei Industrieunternehmen. Auf Seiten von SCHULLER&Company hat Wolfgang Lindfeld die Projektgruppe begleitet und die Anforderungen aus der Praxis in die Entwicklung eingebracht.

Heute haben wir die SC Collaboration Suite im CasaBlanca Art House in Bad Soden vorgestellt. Eine gelungene Premiere. Das Kultkino soll künftig ein Ort für weitere Produktlaunches sein. Am 29. Oktober ist bocad 2027 geplant.
