Single-mast construction for 110 kV single-cable line

CHALLENGES
The subject of the project was the development and design of an AWX-131 series guyed/angled pylon construction, type ON90+10, as shown in the pictures of the 110 kV Komorowice - Czechowice overhead line. The pylons of this series were honoured at the 32nd International Energy Trade Fair ENERGETAB 2019 in Bielsko-Biała.
Special challenges during planning:
- The design of the connecting nodes of the mast segments required precise adaptation to the changing conicity of the mast structure. This was achieved by using multiple folded plates in different spatial planes.
- The planning of a specific detail for connecting the mast to the foundation: a foldable element body, welded from components with different inclinations - depending on the geometry of the mast trunk.

- 3D modelling and visualisation of steel structures
- Integrated database with profiles and bolts in accordance with current standards
- Support for bent sheet metal and welded connections
- Automatic generation of assembly and workshop drawings, material lists and NC files based on the 3D model
Particularly useful functions and modules:
- Bocad Tower module: particularly effective thanks to integrated macros for defining the basic geometry of masts, modelling brackets, lattice structures and cross connections
- Export functions for creating visualised NC files from the model
- Automatic generation of weld seam lists including length and thickness specifications
