PROJECT
CHALLENGES
Construction of the new control tower at Paris Beauvais airport, France:
Project challenges: A steel structure pegged to a central concrete shaft (made from precast concrete). Each level is a fifteen-sided polygon (irregular pentadecagon) of varying shapes. The stability of the structure is ensured by inverted (vertical) porticos. Blank assembly of the lookout in the courtyard of our workshop, then dismantling for transport to the airport. Lifting of the night watchtower in a single block after air traffic has stopped.
ADVANTAGES
Software requirements : 3D drawing, generation of IFC files, plans, tracings and nc files
Helpful bocad features: Importing dwg files in order to respect the shape of the polygon. Many times the klinken commands and the detailing box in bocad, because apart from the lookout, there's no other iron like it.
