PROJECT
CHALLENGES

Electricity transmission towers and substations in Quebec, Canada:
The complexity of certain pylon and bridge geometries was very well handled by this versatile software. The ability to export the model in a variety of formats proved very useful for certain projects, particularly for the CATIA software.

ADVANTAGES

Software requirements: bocad Tower and Autocad

Helpful bocad features: The Tower module and several customized macros greatly accelerated the work of modelling and presenting the assembly and workshop drawings.

Personal testimonial from Alan Demers:
I started using bocad when I was with the manufacturer Locweld (Quebec, Canada).
In 1989, at the very beginning of bocad, we were the first users of bocad in North America. I had to learn the FFEIN language to use it, PCs and mice didn't exist yet, so I had to program everything.
I'm proud to say that I also contributed to the design of the tower module, which is still used today by several manufacturers around the world.
